The Louisiana Farm Bureau Foundation wants to help you go to college.

The Farm Bureau is a voluntary organization of farm and ranch families that works to achieve
legislative and economic benefits for its members. Through its strength as the state’s largest
general farm organization, it is the “Voice of Louisiana Agriculture” for all matters important to
farmers, their families and others who share our philosophy.

We are vitally interested in having the business of agriculture run by future generations of farm
and ranch families. To this end, we have formed a tax-exempt foundation to award scholarships
to deserving students pursuing careers in agriculture.

Since the first two scholarships were awarded in 1993, Farm Bureau has awarded 83
scholarships — for a total of $122,500 — to assist graduating seniors in their first year of college.
In 2009 we will award eight $1,500 scholarships to applicants nominated by the parish Farm
Bureaus. Five of these scholarships will be awarded to the highest scoring applicants based on
grade point average, ACT scores, individual achievement in high school,
participation in parish and state Farm Bureau activities and financial need. The three additional
scholarship winners will be decided in a random drawing from our remaining parish winners.

We invite the seniors of 2010 to review the eligibility requirements. If you qualify, obtain an
application from your local Farm Bureau office,
complete it and return it to the same office. Each parish will select one applicant to be submitted
for consideration as a state winner.

For more details, contact your local parish Farm Bureau office for a brochure.
