The Louisiana Farm Bureau is vitally interested in having the business of agriculture run by future
generations of farm and ranch families. To this end, we have formed a tax-exempt foundation to
award scholarships to deserving students pursuing careers in agriculture.

Since the first two scholarships were awarded in 1993, the Louisiana Farm Bureau Foundation
has awarded 71 scholarships, for a total of $98.500, to assist graduating seniors in their first
year of college.

In 2008, we will award eight $1,500 scholarships to applicant's nominated by their parish Farm
Bureaus. Five of these scholarships will be awarded to the highest scoring applicants based on
grade point average, ACT scores, individual achievement in high school, participation in parish and
state Farm Bureau activities and financial need. The three additional scholarship winners will be
decided in a random drawing from our remaining parish winners.

We invite the seniors of 2008 to review the eligibility requirements listed below. If you qualify,
obtain an application from your local Farm Bureau office and return it to the same office. Each
parish will select one applicant to be submitted for consideration as a state winner.
