Women's Leadership Committee
The Women’s Leadership Committee works year-round to educate consumers on the importance of agriculture, while actively engaging in statewide commodity promotion.
Each year our committee promotes agriculture at AgExpo and Farmers Markets and spearheads special activities such as leadership conferences, agricultural tours, the Veterans Homes Project, and Our Food Link. Our committee supports youth programs, including the LFBF Talent, Talk Meet, and Queen contests. Parish committees also work at the local level to bring nutritional awareness to consumers.
During harvest season, farmers work day in and day out to get their crops out of the field. But the work doesn't stop there. TWILA's Kristen Oaks-White explains how the women of the farm also play a vital role during harvest season.
At the heart of every farm is a strong woman. See what it takes to be a Louisiana farm woman.
It's a day where the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Women's Leadership Committee get to visit Louisiana farms and learn more about agriculture, in a fun way. TWILA's Taylor Frey takes us to Washington Parish for this year's Spring Family Conference.
TWILA's Avery Davidson and Kristen Oaks tells us how the Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation Women's Leadership Committee gathered two thousands dollars worth of groceries for a good cause.
The Louisiana Farm Bureau's Women's Leadership Committee went on some sweet tours in Plaquemine, LA. TWILA's A.J. Sabine and Kristen Oaks tells us why it's important to the committee to see the work our farmers do for the state.
