Women's Leadership Committee

The Women’s Leadership Committee works year-round to educate consumers on the importance of agriculture, while actively engaging in statewide commodity promotion.

Each year our committee promotes agriculture at AgExpo and Farmers Markets and spearheads special activities such as leadership conferences, agricultural tours, the Veterans Homes Project, and Our Food Link. Our committee supports youth programs, including the LFBF Talent, Talk Meet, and Queen contests.  Parish committees also work at the local level to bring nutritional awareness to consumers.

View the 2014 Youth Contests Brochure.  For more information on youth contests, including applications, entry forms or rules and regulations, visit our convention page or contact your Farm Bureau parish office

The Louisiana Farm Bureau's Women's Leadership Committee went on some sweet tours in Plaquemine, LA. TWILA's A.J. Sabine and Kristen Oaks tells us why it's important to the committee to see the work our farmers do for the state.

TWILA's Mike Danna and Kristen Oaks tells us what the Women's Leadership Committee experienced in their Spring Family Conference in Opelousas, Louisiana.
