Women's Leadership Committee
LA GAINS NATIONAL LEADERS: In this special edition of This Week in Louisiana Agriculture, Host Michael Danna tells us how our Women's Leadership Committee represented the Louisiana Farm Bureau at the American Farm Bureau Federation's 93rd Annual Meeting.
The Women's Leadership Committee works year-round to educate consumers on the importance of agriculture while actively engaging in statewide commodity promotion.
Each year the committee spearheads special projects such as National Food Checkout Week, Hunger Awareness Month, Farm-City Celebrations and other commodity promotional events. Parish committees also work at the local level to bring nutritional awareness to consumers.
