Home
The Louisiana Farm Bureau Federation is the state’s largest general farm organization representing farmers, ranchers and rural residents. We are a private, non-profit, non-governmental agency established in 1922 to bring a voice to agricultural issues.
Ag in the Classroom
Our goal is to help students gain a greater awareness of the role agriculture plays in the economy and society, so that they may become citizens who support wise agricultural policies. We provide resources and training for teachers to integrate agriculture across curricula. Visit our website.
Young Farmers & Ranchers
Our goal is to promote and strengthen agriculture by offering opportunities for training and leadership experience to younger producers in the areas of public speaking, media training, issue advocacy, business development, networking, service leadership and telling the story of agriculture.
Women's Leadership Committee
Our goal is to provide leadership opportunities for women, promote agriculture and develop public understanding of the value of agriculture. We coordinate statewide commodity promotions, including National Food Checkout Week and Hunger Awareness Month.
LFB Foundation
Our tax-exempt foundation was created to support students pursuing careers in agriculture. Annually, our foundation awards several scholarships to deserving students pursuing curricula directly benefiting the agricultural sector of Louisiana’s economy.
President's Column
Our weekly President's Column, started in 1975, today appears in more than 160 newspapers across Louisiana. The column provides information about farming, food prices, environmental issues and other consumer news, while addressing matters important to all of rural Louisiana. Read now.
Capitol Watch
We lobby on the state and national level on behalf of farmers and ranchers. We closely follow Louisiana legislative activities and national affairs, keeping our members up-to-date on bills that impact agriculture. Register for Voter Voice to receive legislative updates and calls to action alerts.
TWILA TV
We produce "This Week in Louisiana Agriculture," one of the longest running, locally produced television programs in the state. TWILA TV is watched by more than 400,000 viewers on 18 TV affiliates across Louisiana and across the country on RFD-TV each week. Visit our website and visit our YouTube channel.
LFBARN
We manage the Louisiana Farm Bureau Agri-news Radio Network, one of the largest farm networks in the South, created on August 6, 2012 by the merger of the Louisiana Farm Bureau Radio Network’s farm broadcasting operations with the Louisiana Radio Network’s agri-news division. Listen online.
